Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Surgical Technologist practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner integrating critical thinking skills commitment creativity and caring.
Work Schedule:
casual position must work a minimum of 2 shifts a month - M-F rotating start times 6am-9am
Stay at end of day until cases are done
Required Qualifications:
- Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs: CST ( or NCCT ( at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently validated CPR skills preferred
- Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
