Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Struthers Parkinsons Center team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head Heart Together are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes but is not limited to direct patient care professional growth and development outcome/competency monitoring compliance withprofessional organizations regulatory standards and regulatory agencies; and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.

The Rehabilitation Services Occupational Therapist will communicate timely clearly and in a professional manner with staff patients patient family members physicians and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening conflict management system problem solving decision-making and process improvement. Therapists will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.

Therapists in the development track will partner with their leader(s) to discuss ways in which the therapist can improve departmental performance through activities involving community events presentations and program/department improvement initiatives. The therapist will be given protected time to execute these activities.

Participates in basic department development expectations for three professional pursuits which must be some combination of the following: community event related Park Nicollet TRIA or clinical profession a presentation and/or program project or committee participation.

Struthers Parkinsons Center serves patients & families through comprehensive assessment interdisciplinary treatment support research & education. Our goal is to improve quality of life and help patients live well during all stages of Parkinsons disease & related movement disorders.

We are a Parkinsons Foundation Center of Excellence and a Lewy Body Dementia Association Research Center of Excellence. We are nationally acclaimed for our focus on team-based care and creative programs for individuals/families living with Parkinsons disease and related movement disorders.

Work Schedule:

Tuesday Thursday Friday - 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Required Qualifications:

  • Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Three years experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Licensed with the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
    • Emphasis in a specific area of clinical expertise.
    • Exhibit leadership qualities and serves as a professional role model within the clinic as documented in the most recent performance appraisal or resume/interview.
    • Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
    • Proficient in clinical apparatus related to area of expertise.
    • Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) or the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT).
