The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview is a five operating room surgical unit with support for pre-operative post-operative and sterile processing departments.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
TheUW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Centerwill provide daytime surgical procedures to the community of patients that meet developed criteria.

ABOUT THE OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

TheNew Outpatient Surgery Center opening on the Harborview Campusis located on the 4th floor of Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB). The Surgery Center will feature 5 operating rooms 12 pre/post bays and sterile processing. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday with no holidays weekends or night hours. The Center will offer same-day surgery procedures utilizing state-ofthe-art equipment to our community of patients that meet the necessary criteria. This reflects the Centers innovative patient-centered culture supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and quality improvements. The goal is to provide a seamless low-stress surgical experience for each patient surgeon and staff member. The unit will provide a soothing environment with natural lighting and patient privacy.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES(CIRCULATING)

Patient teaching
Assist surgeon and anesthesia
Continuous patient assessment
Documentation in Epic

Participation in quality improvement projects

REQUIREMENTS

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
Two or more years perioperative experiences(per/post ASUOSU and PACU)
Has a WA/MSL RN license to practice in the state of Washington

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45.59 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$84.47 hourly

Other Compensation:

Sign on bonus $10000 Relocation available BSN or higher premium $1.00/hour Certification premium $1.25/hour Overtime Pay
