POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities include supporting the head coach with on-course instruction coordinating practices and qualifying rounds recruiting prospective student-athletes conducting statistical player evaluations providing golf instruction and training assisting with camps and clinics and managing social media. The assistant must remain knowledgeable of and compliant with institutional Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations and be available to travel and work extended hours including most weekends during the season.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required; previous playing or coaching experience is required.
REQUIRED HOURS AND ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:This is a part-time temporary non-benefit eligible position. The hourly rate for this role is $16.90 per hour with on call hours per week depending on the department needs. The specific factors that the College will consider when offering a salary to an individual will include but not be limited to education training relevant prior experience and performance in prior role. All staff positions are ineligible for visa or permanent resident card sponsorship. As a California employer Pomona College requires all employees to be residents of California.
