We are seeking a professional and organized Assistant Manager Banquet to join our hospitality team in Visakhapatnam this role you will oversee the planning coordination and execution of banquet events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. You will work collaboratively with our culinary service and administrative teams to deliver memorable events that exceed client expectations.
- Oversee all aspects of banquet operations including event setup service execution and breakdown
- Supervise and train banquet staff ensuring adherence to service standards and company policies
- Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements customize offerings and address special requests
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external suppliers for event-specific needs
- Monitor and control banquet budgets ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation standards throughout all events
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and promptly to maintain satisfaction
- Maintain detailed event documentation and prepare reports on banquet operations and performance
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu execution and food quality standards
- Schedule staff efficiently to meet event demands and operational requirements
- Conduct regular inspections of banquet facilities and equipment to ensure optimal condition
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banquet operations or event management within the hospitality industry
- Proven experience supervising and leading banquet or service staff
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and service protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control
- Familiarity with banquet management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making judgment
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
- Experience in high-volume or luxury event venues is preferred
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
