Key Responsibilities:
The objective of the Project Officer role is to support the District Coordinator in implementing the project activities achieving the projects primary objectives ensuring each phase is executed according to project plan and targets. Additionally project officer will also work closely with WVIs implementing partners ensuring the adherence of Humanitarian standards and principles.
He/she is a frontline implementer for facilitating community-level activities related to polio eradication. The role focuses on community engagement facilitation of kaders volunteers and health staffs support to immunization and surveillance activities and ensuring quality implementation and reporting at the field level.
About TheCORE Group Partners Project (CGP Project);
Wahana Visi will be implementing The CORE Group Partnership Project (CGPP). The CORE Group Partnership Project (CGPP) is a multi-country multi-partner initiative providing financial support on-the-ground technical assistance and guidance to strengthen host country efforts to eradicate polio and strengthen immunization systems. The premise of this project is to work through existing networks of international and local NGOs with established child survival activities in hard-to-reach areas with inadequate immunization coverage. The project work supports the national action plan for polio eradication.
WVI as implementing partner contribute to polio eradication by increasing population immunity and enhancing surveillance for AFP and other VPDs in hard-to-reach remote and crossborder areas in Indonesia. While funded through MCH resources the projects primary focus is polio eradication and immunization system strengthening with co-benefits for maternal newborn and child health and broader outbreak preparedness.
This project is subject to donor funding acquisition the event that the funding agreementis not finalized the recruitment process may be postponed or the position may not proceed. We arecommitted to maintaining transparent communication with all candidates throughout this process
Strategy Development & Planning
Support Data/Information provision related to the project in targeted area context for strategy development and planning.
Support the preparation of activity plans and schedules
Assist in documenting lessons learned for future planning
Participate in puskesmas and community -level microplanning for RI SIA and CBS activities
Identify community-level barriers and opportunities to planning adjustment
Acquisition &Management/ Engagement/Project Management: Resource
Work together with Coordinator to ensure the project complies with all the requirements mandated by the donor.
Ensure cost-effective and efficent use of resources
Support inventory management for project materials
Capacity Building/ Technical works

Support inventory management for project materials. Internalize and socialize WV core documents to direct reports if any.
Support kaders and volunteers to correctly apply community case definition and reporting procedures.
Assist ini identifying zero-dose and defaulter children and support follow-up with caregivers and Puskesmas.
Support delivery of training orientation and community sensitization sessions.
Assist in coaching kaders and CHWs during field activities.
Support preparation and dissemination of training materials and job aids.

Accountability & Quality Assurance
Support achievement of standard quality of program.
To submit monthly reports on agreed date that contains narrative and tracking table and analysis of the achievement.
To make sure the project activities are implemented according to business process / mechanism and ensure Projects BP / mechanism is amended when needed.
Collect compile and document field data related to project activities
Assist in verifying completeness and consistency of report from the field
Support corrective follow-up actions identified during supervision
Networking & Coordination
Communicate effectively Wahana Visi Indonesia identity mission vision values and our approach to work in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear.
Develop linkages/networks and dynamic relationships with all stakeholder that related with project implementation at sub district and village level.
Management & Leadership
Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report

Manage all risks related to CGP Project according to organization policies guidelines and standard. This includes risks in fraud safeguarding and other related risks.
Requirement
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences Community Development Public Health Education Environment or other relevant fields.
Diploma graduates with strong field experience may also be considered.
Minimum 23 years of experience working in community-based programs NGO/INGO projects or humanitarian/development initiatives.
Proven experience in community facilitation field implementation training delivery and coordination with local stakeholders.
Prior experience in monitoring activities data collection and reporting is preferred.

Ability to move freely both indoors and outdoors to conduct site visits meetings and other activities related to the job responsibilities.
Awareness and commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance considering the demanding nature of travel and fieldwork.
Thorough understanding of community engagement programs.
Skilled in using MS Teams Zoom e-mail and other applications.
Strong analytical interpersonal and facilitation abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
The selected candidate will be placed as local staff in one of these areas: Mimika Kabupaten Jayapura Kota Jayapura or Nabire.
