Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Engine Asset Management
- Oversee the technical condition and maintenance status of all engines in the leased fleet (including on-wing spares and part-out assets).
- Track engine utilization LLP (Life Limited Parts) status EGT margins performance trends and maintenance forecasting.
- Maintain accurate technical records AD/SB compliance and configuration data.
2. Engine Maintenance & Shop Visit Management
- Develop engine shop visit workscopes to maximize value retention and minimize cost.
- Manage MRO selection contract negotiations and project oversight during shop visits.
- Review teardown reports workscope outcomes and cost variances.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer instructions (AMM EMM) lease agreements and regulatory requirements.
3. Lease Transaction Support
- Support aircraft/engine deliveries transitions and redeliveries from a powerplant perspective.
- Review lease return conditions and ensure engine status meets contractual obligations.
- Conduct on-site inspections borescope reviews thrust ratings validation and technical documentation verification.
- Prepare engine technical summaries for remarketing sales and acquisitions.
4. Technical & Commercial Analysis
- Evaluate engine maintenance reserves calculations cashflow projections LLP consumption and future shop visit cost modeling.
- Provide engineering input for asset valuations and long-term maintenance strategies.
- Assist commercial teams with pricing negotiations and risk assessment on new leases and acquisitions.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with OEMs (e.g. GE CFM Pratt & Whitney Rolls-Royce) MROs and airline technical teams.
- Provide technical guidance to internal departments such as Contracts Commercial Legal Finance and Risk Management.
- Represent the company in technical forums audits and OEM advisory meetings.
6. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA/ICAO regulations and any country-specific requirements.
- Maintain awareness of ADs SBs engine reliability programs and fleet-wide safety topics.
- Participate in technical investigations as required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree).
- 712 years of experience in powerplant engineering engine maintenance management or airline/MRO/OEM engine programs.
- Strong knowledge of major engine platforms (e.g. CFM56 LEAP GE90 GEnx PW1100G V2500 Trent series).
- Experience in engine shop visit management workscope development and MRO negotiations.
- Familiarity with aircraft leasing structures maintenance reserves and lease return conditions.
- Ability to interpret technical documents MPDs AMMs AD/SB requirements and shop reports.
Preferred
- Experience working for an aircraft leasing company or technical asset management team.
- Professional certifications (AME License A&P CPPS or OEM training).
- Familiarity with digital engine health monitoring systems and predictive analytics.
