Minimum Legal Requirements
Must meet all qualifications outlined in Mississippi Code 37-9-13
Valid Mississippi Educator License with appropriate endorsements Successful leadership experience at the building or district level

Preferred Qualifications
Proven success in improving student achievement
Experience with the Mississippi Accountability System and data-driven instruction Leadership experience in rural and/or high-poverty districts
Ability to work collaboratively and transparently with the Board
Strong strategic planning problem-solving and decision-making skills
High moral and ethical standards
Experience recruiting and developing quality personnel
Effective communicator with the ability to build trust and high expectations Experience in school finance and knowledge of CTE & Federal funding Understanding of Mississippi education laws and regulations
Applicant must hold a valid Mississippi Class AA license with certification in educational administration
A minimum of six (6) years of successful teaching experience-Administrative experience preferred
- Experience in leadership roles and documented evidence of administrative ability with emphasis on good personal relations
- Applicant should have a strong background in curriculum excellent communication and human relations skills
- Must be a consensus builder who motivates and inspires staff and students and exemplifies high moral and ethical standards.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Leads implementation of the vision mission and goals that emphasize student learning
Exhibits professional and ethical behavior
Supports the development and implementation of Mississippi standards-based lessons and unit plans
Builds the capacity of staff to effectively implement a variety of rigorous instructional strategies and pedagogical methods drive student learning and adapt instructional practices to ensure that all students master content
Tracks student-level data to drive continuous improvement
Provides ongoing timely and individualized actionable feedback to staff based on evidence collected from observations
Develops implements and facilitates effective professional learning opportunities to meet the individual staff members growth needs
Establishes an effective leadership team and builds team capacity to focus on student learning
Develops and implements a clear plan to conduct ongoing documented monitoring of the progress toward achieving district goals
Follows the Mississippi Code of Ethics
Displays professional behavior (integrity confidentiality etc.) exhibiting a commitment to the school and the district both in and out of school
Demonstrates punctuality
Follows established board policies and procedures
