About the Facility
A regional acute-care hospital in the Tallahassee Florida area is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to support a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) location serving the Lake Jackson community.
The parent hospital is a full-service acute-care facility offering 24/7 emergency services and a wide range of specialty programs including behavioral health neonatal care cardiovascular services stroke care orthopedics and spine services.
Position Summary
The Emergency Department RN provides high-quality emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of conditions from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening emergencies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong clinical judgment and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities
Triage assess and treat emergency patients of all ages
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Manage multiple patients simultaneously and prioritize care effectively
Provide discharge education follow-up instructions and referrals
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain patient safety clinical quality and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Emergency Department RN experience
Critical Care nursing experience will be considered
Active Florida RN license or multistate license (or eligibility prior to start)
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
Required Certifications
BLS (required prior to start date)
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (within 90 days of hire)
ACLS (within 90 days of hire)
PALS (within 90 days of hire)
Compensation
$27.72 $33.00/hour (up to 5 years of experience)
$36.30/hour (10 years of experience)
$39.60/hour (15 years of experience)
Sign-On Bonus
$10000 for Day Shift
$15000 for Night Shift
