We have an exciting role available in a growing agency for a savvy Media Account Manager. The Media Account Manager (MAM) is responsible for managing a client portfolio ensuring the successful execution of media campaigns and maintaining strong client relationships. This role involves coordinating with internal teams understanding client needs and delivering results that meet client objectives.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
Account Management:
- Have a basic media knowledge of strategy planning executing and post campaigning of media campaigns across platforms such as TV Radio OOH.
- Manage the overall day-to-day media activity of the brands in his/her portfolio.
- On approval of strategies brief media planner to compile campaign schedules.
- Oversee approval of schedules and ensure accurate buying briefs.
- Evaluate media proposals and make recommendations to client accordingly.
- Together with the insights division drive competitive brand reviews when / if required.
- On a weekly basis communicate accurate account status to client and internal team.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact for clients understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Build a deep understanding of clients business and each brand within his/her portfolio.
Performance Analysis:
- Work with a team of specialists to monitor and analyse campaign performance providing regular reports and insights to clients.
- Put together insightful post campaign reports including recommendations for future campaigns.
Budget Management:
- Oversee media budgets ensuring efficient allocation and spending to maximize ROI.
- Manage flowplans timeously and with accuracy.
- Have competent financial and excel skills to manage financial accuracy.
- Assist the finance team in resolving invoice queries.
Collaboration:
- Encourage collaboration with relevant Dentsu partner agencies.
- Collaborate with external agency partners and integrate seamlessly.
- Assist the buyer in chasing creative material when and if required.
Innovation:
- Continuously look for and present proactive media ideas to the brand teams.
Strategy:
- Based on client briefs compile high quality innovative media strategies (traditional digital).
- Work along with Head of Strategy to deliver on media innovations and convert at industry awards.
New Business Development:
- Identify opportunities for account growth.
Problem Solving:
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during campaign execution ensuring timely resolution.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Advertising or a related field.
- Experience:Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in account management media planning and buying preferably within an agency setting.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in media planning tools ( Telmar Ariana AdIntel) will put you ahead.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and campaigns and provide actionable insights.
- Knowledge of media planning and buying processes
