Software Development Manager, Global Warehouse

We are looking for Software Development Managers who are seeking opportunities to apply their past experience supporting Amazons supply chain offerings. We aim to create a highly technical and entrepreneurial culture and you will help us foster that.

Own the roadmap of the charter that enables sellers and enterprises to leverage AWD for their on Amazon supply chain use-cases
Document and present strategies to senior management.
Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.
Management of resources hiring mentoring enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class product development team.
Work closely with the engineers and product managers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
Report on status of development quality operations and system performance to leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a leader quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions.

- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 9 years of engineering experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
