Summer Student, Property Transactions & Administration

Contract up to 4 months

Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

What will I be doing

• Support Property Transactions & Administration team on multiple administrative responsibilities
• Provide client facing assistance by responding to public and internal inquiries and dealing with Landlords and Tenants
• Conduct market research and perform financial and data analysis
• Manage daily assigned work
• General office work such as data entry and filing

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need

• Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution
• Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
• Preference will be given to students who can commence work in May 2025 and who are in a Real Estate Urban Planning and/or Business program
• Customer service experience
• Communication skills
• Project experience in financial analysis and/or working with databases data management analysis and reporting such as pro-formas cost/benefit analysis real estate economics financial tracking budgeting accounting
• Knowledge of the real estate industry and how real estate financials are reported and monitored
