About the role

As a member of the Womensline leadership team you will lead coach and mentor a dedicated team of Crisis Intervention Counsellors Counsellor Support Workers and Immediate Response Practitioner to deliver efficient and effective DFSV crisis support across Queensland. Your key responsibilities will include providing support and feedback in the dissemination of information case recommendations planning decision making workflow and task management and conducting performance and probationary reviews. You will apply your initiative existing knowledge skills and experience to ensure service delivery remains in compliance with operational contractual and legislative obligations. Additionally you will be responsible for engaging with and building strong relationships with external stakeholders and brokerages.

To be eligible for consideration this position requires leadership experience in at least (1) one of the following areas: Domestic family and intimate partner violence Sexual violence and abuse Victims of crime Child protection and/or mental health.

It is a genuine requirement for this role to be filled by a woman as permitted under sections 25 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelors degree in Social Work Human Services or similar. Post-graduate certification or extensive demonstrated experience in DFV client advocay or crisis support is highly desirable.
  • Over 2 years experience leading a service delivery team with a strong ability to guide mentor and care for staff in ways that honour diversity uphold cultural safety and support team wellbeing.
  • Confident and effective interpersonal communication and consultation skills.
  • Model resilient valuesled leadership fostering a culture of courage learning and continuous quality improvement to enhance service delivery.
  • Knowledge and understanding of intersectional feminist practice and traumainformed approaches that respond to the gendered drivers of DFSV.
  • Sound knowledge (or willingness to acquire) about Queensland Domestic Violence Legislation particularly the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012.
  • Demonstrated ability to build maintain and enhance relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including both sector and non-sector partners.
  • Confident computer and telephone multitasking skills with the ability to type case notes during calls and maintain accurate databases. Strong computer literacy and a moderate to fast typing speed is essential. (Womensline is a high call volume / service demand environment)
  • Positive Notice (P) Blue Card and willingness to complete a police check prior to commencing employment.
  • Valid photo ID.
  • Right to work in Australia with no restrictions.
  • Willingness to attend office for all shifts.
  • Willingness to participate in an oncall rotation (one week every 56 weeks).

Remuneration

  • SCHADS Award Level 7 (pay point is dependent on qualifications and level of relevant experience).
