As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the technology youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Adds to the team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
• Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience in coding and development space.
• Hands on Coding using Java/Springboot/Python/Rego/ReactJs
• Experience in building AI agents using MCP
• Experience in developing and designing Micro services using spring boot/Python
• Experience in developing Micro Front Ends using React JS and Module federation 2.0
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks beyond React (Angular )
• Experience with additional messaging systems (RabbitMQ AWS SQS Azure Service Bus). Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB Cassandra Redis)
• Experience with Docker and containerization best practices. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions Spinnaker)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack Splunk). Knowledge of API Gateway solutions (Kong Apigee AWS API Gateway)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation Ansible). Understanding of security best practices and secure coding principles
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks (JUnit Mockito Jest). Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API design patterns
