Take advantage of this unique opportunity to train under our well-seasoned and award-winning Food & Beverage leaders culinarians and special events staff honing your food-handling restaurant and banquet operations sales and customer service skills while stationed in the bustling and beautiful Lake Geneva Wisconsins premier resort town.Ideal candidates are available to work through September or longer.
On the F&B front you will experience the operation of an F&B department in a resort/country club environment with the opportunity to:
- Learn to program and run restaurant POS/reservation systems
- Uphold opening and closing protocols and service standards
- Develop managerial skills through supervision of restaurants
- Understand multi-venue execution and team service
- Learn inventory controls
- Help run on-course F&B operation including snack bars and beverage carts
- Check weekly forecasts and adjust procedures and staffing accordingly
As business allows you may have the opportunity at times to support the Events staff as follows:
- Assist with setup and confirmation of a floor plan design.
- Check in and communicate with a bridal party or golf group throughout the wedding or golf event (day of).
- Learn to read BEOs (Banquet Event Order) and ensure these specifications are followed throughout the day.
- Welcome guests as they arrive for ceremonies/events and assist as-needed with guests bridal party and golfers.
- Assist with décor and set-up on event day.
- Assist with Banquet service ceremony and event details.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore junior or senior in a four-year college program
- Emphasis of study preferred to be focused on hospitality resort or restaurant management
- Strong organizational leadership and communication skills
- Capable of a minimum 12-week commitment
