The Role - Junior Systems Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and naturally curious individual to join our team as a Junior Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will bring a problem-solving mindset and critical thinking skills to tackle technical challenges while being proactive in both their work and their professional development. Youll thrive in this role if youre a self-driven learner who takes initiative asks thoughtful questions and is eager to grow your expertise in systems engineering.

Youll be reporting into one of our Engineering Managers and mentored day-day by two System Engineers.

In this role youll get to:

• Contribute to our production platform using IaC and assist in building and maintaining our systems.

• Be involved from ideation to deployment to operations as we build key features for our platform and product.

• Contribute to technical discussions to ensure that Unmind is always using the most appropriate technologies and tools for the job.

• Develop an understanding of our DevSecTestOps ethos and wider DevOps culture

• In time youll join the out of hours on-call rota to help troubleshoot disruption to our platform

About You

• Infrastructure-as-code (eg Terraform) and version control systems (eg git)

• Cloud computing services (eg AWS GoogleCloud Azure)

• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS load balancing VPNs)

• Observability practices and tools

• Basic programming skills in a language (of your choice)
