Software Engineer Backend

What you will be doing

• Develop and maintain our Ocean and Air applications using Python working closely with a collaborative engineering team.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and business logic leveraging DBT SQL and Snowflake to drive insights and automation.
• Apply cloud-native development practices with a strong focus on security scalability and performance using tools like Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
• Collaborate with engineers DevOps QA and data scientists to deliver reliable and efficient solutions across the tech stack.
• Work cross-functionally with teams across Xeneta to understand customer needs and translate them into impactful features.
• Embrace Agile principles to plan iterate and continuously improve both product and process.

Your profile and experience

• You have 4 years of experience as Backend (or Full-stack) Software Engineer using Python stack.
• You have good understanding of software development foundations (SOLID principles patterns big O notation data structures etc).
• You have good understanding and experience in SQL including optimization and performance aspects injections clustering.
• You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code.
• You are a team player; you enjoy learning and improving the team around you and yourself and can work independently if needed.
• Fluent in English oral and written.

• Relevant higher education.
• Experience using AWS services for building data processing and/or web applications.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Snowflake and Docker.
• Experience with client-side browser technologies and frameworks like TypeScript ReactJS.
