Position Summary
Perform a basic to advanced level skilled work to accomplish sheet metal repairs and replacements of structural parts. Fabricate replacement covering panels or fairings by using the removed parts as samples. Reads and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work. |
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1 | Review samples drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output |
2 | Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping |
3 | Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job |
4 | Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job |
5 | Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed maintain temperature and identify issues |
6 | Determine and program size of batches and speed of machine |
7 | Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects |
8 | Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages |
9 | Reads instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work. |
10 | Performs other duties as assigned. |

| CNC machining experience VF2 3 axis machine. | | x | |
Required Skills | Lifts and carries hand tools parts and work materials; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping kneeling or squatting. | x | | |
Excellent manual dexterity accuracy and attention to detail | x | | |
Great verbal and written communication skills | x | | |
Experience in using and/or programming manual semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes grinders etc.) | x | | |
