Job Summary

Position Qualifications

LSW - Requires current license as independent social worker (i.e. LISW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.27. Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10 2014 is exempt from current licensure as independent social worker (i.e. LISW) requirement.

What youll do at DBH:

  • Performs psychosocial interventions with clients

  • Performs individual family or group intervention (e.g. counseling & education of the client)

  • Develops intervention goals & objectives designed to give education & resolve clients problems in functioning

  • Participates in process of establishing implementing & evaluating treatment systems goals & objectives

  • Interviews clients & clients family to establish case goals & objectives

  • Assesses clients & determines specific intervention techniques for clients & monitors clients responses to treatment systems & provides feedback on effectiveness of prescribed treatment evaluates clients progress resulting from prescribed treatment plans.

  • Plans & implements continuity of care from hospital to community by functioning as linkage for treatment team with case management system through ongoing regular collaboration (e.g. meetings telephone conversations correspondence).

  • Maintains necessary data documents to satisfy requirements of federal state & local agencies completes & completes forms required by law &/or department policy.

  • Serves on treatment teams & program development teams attends training meetings & intradepartmental meetings.

  • Establishes & maintains working relationship with other facilities agencies & support services in order to coordinate referrals & conduct follow-up services.

This is anhourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) with a pay range of#10 or #11 (dependent upon on licensure as a LSW or LISW)on theOhio Health Care SEIU/1199Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 8:00a-4:30p. This position is located within our Heartland Behavioral Healthcare campus at 3000 Erie Street South Massillon OH 44646.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information:

  • 10% supplement

  • 3% increase effective July 1st 2026
