Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Friday / Saturday / Sunday (Weekend Contract)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week weekend night assignment on the Mental Health Unit (MHU). The ideal candidate must have recent inpatient psychiatric experience and be comfortable managing acute behavioral health patients in a structured hospital environment.
Unit Details
Inpatient Mental Health / Behavioral Health Unit
Weekend-only schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun)
Night shift coverage
Fast-paced team-oriented environment
Required Qualifications
Active New York RN License
Minimum 2 years RN experience
Must have current inpatient MHU/BHU experience
BLS (AHA)
NY Registry search required upon signing
Candidate Requirements
Strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
Experience with psychiatric assessments and care planning
Ability to maintain safety for patients and staff
Comfortable working night shift weekend rotation
