Job Description
Youll be responsible for overseeing Brambles enterprise-wide data foundations programme of work. This role will lead the articulation and adoption of Brambles Data strategy the program and according works by capabilities outlined in the Data Foundations Proposal act as the organisations subject matter expert coordinate work across functions and take accountability for program delivery The role requires coordination across stakeholders in various technology areas including Tech Services and Digital data and technology capabilities embedded in business lines plus close working with Legal and Compliance and wider business domains.
Youll establish Brambles Data strategy framework and scale core foundational data capabilities drive adoption act as the subject matter expert and ensure Brambles meets strategic operational and regulatory expectations for data. The person will work with business and technology leaders to deliver the data foundations roadmap and build a sustainable data capability that supports broader business outcomes including analytics ERP digital services and compliance.

Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Lead the development implementation and scaling of core data management capabilities including data quality metadata master and reference data content and document management and data storage and operations.
- Coordinate delivery of data management activities across business technology legal compliance and regional teams to ensure consistent standards controls and ways of working.
- Embed data management into major technology and business programmes such as ERP analytics and digital services ensuring data requirements risks and dependencies are fully addressed.
- Establish and maintain data governance processes including forums decisionmaking structures and minimum control standards to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Build and lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering data management improvements including programme management analysis and change enablement.
- Develop and implement the longterm operating model for enterprise data management defining data roles responsibilities workflows and capability uplift across the organisation.
- Oversee adoption of data management tools and platforms enabling greater operational efficiency improved data quality and consistent data practices across regions and functions.
- Partner with architecture and technology leaders to define futurestate operational and analytical data models ensuring alignment with broader transformation strategies and strategic priorities.
Accountabilities
Enterprise Ownership across Data:
- Strategic leadership across data including coordination across various data management owners to ensure effective overall operation
- Serve as the organisations lead across Data Foundations. This role will also lead and / or ensure coordination across the wider Data Ecosystem (per the industry recognised DAMA wheel)..
- Lead and embed capability for master data management (MDM).
- Integrate data management requirements into ERP the analytics operating model and Digital Customer Services.
- Ensure central teams deliver consistent processes standards and controls.
Leadership and Delivery:
- Build early-phase capability run pilots coordinate proofs of concept and scale successful models.
- Lead teams (central teams and business embedded teams) across capabilities owned by Data Foundations scaling to incorporate wider Data Management areas over time and coordinating with other accountable owners as appropriate (e.g. Data Security).
- Establish a long-term operating model for data foundations covering standards workflows and controls.
- Ensure multi-region and global delivery alignment.
- Drive cross-functional leadership across business IT and compliance.
Governance and Decision Making:
- Support or chair forums including the Data Review Board and Data Management Support Group.
- Set minimum control standards for (initially) Data Quality metadata MDM and data storage with other Data Management areas coming into scope as appropriate over time.
- Define sequencing for critical data assets and capability development.
- Ensure compliance with policies and external requirements for storage retention and access.
- Work with business leaders to resolve root-cause issues and drive sustainable fixes.
Coordination and Change Leadership:
- Coordinate delivery across Tech Services Digital Legal Compliance Finance and regional I&T teams.
- Lead programme governance and performance tracking.
- Oversee change management adoption and capability uplift across the organisation.
- Embed capabilities through regional I&T leads and ensure consistent ways of working.
- Align support models and handoffs across the enterprise.
People Leadership:
- Build and lead the programme team including PM analysts and change resources.
- Develop long-term capability plans and staffing models across central and distributed teams.
- Support talent development across Tech Services Digital analytics and business functions.
- Provide escalation and leadership support for Stewards SMEs and technical owners.
Strategy and Architecture:
- Establish future-state architecture for operational and analytical data aligned with Brambles priorities.
- Work with Architecture teams to define models for storage processing residency and platform alignment.
- Support evolution of existing strategic data analytics and data quality technology capabilities Ensure alignment with ERP analytics and digital transformation programmes.
Experience
- Leadership experience in enterprise data management in global or complex environments.
- Expertise in data quality metadata master data management operational data architecture and document/content management.
- Proven ability to scale data management capability across regions.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering transformation work.
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations for data storage retention and access.
- Experience embedding data management in ERP analytics and digital programmes.
- Ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder groups across business IT and compliance effectively collaborating towards productive positions that advance the overarching data objectives whilst understanding and accommodating varying needs appropriately.
