We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex this position you will oversee on-site operations ensuring work is completed safely efficiently and in line with all relevant standards. Collaborating with project managers site teams and stakeholders you will help translate technical plans into practical high-quality results while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory environmental and safety requirements.
Your initial responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising daily project activities ensuring strict adherence to schedules environmental controls and quality requirements.
- Collaborating closely with project managers designers and stakeholders to interpret technical specifications and develop effective executable project plans.
- Implementing and upholding robust safety and environmental protocols ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all personnel.
- Preparing maintaining and reviewing comprehensive project documentation including ITPs quality records and regulatory reporting.
- Ensuring all works comply with technical specifications EPA requirements approvals and relevant industry standards.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation efficiency and continuous improvement across landfill construction and waste-management processes.
- Fostering a culture of safety accountability and operational excellence within the project team.
- Promoting Goldsmith values and culture across all project activities.
About you
To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar civil engineering role ideally within landfill waste or environmental infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale self-performed bulk earthworks and associated environmental controls.
- Strong technical knowledge analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced collaborative construction environment. Bachelor-level qualifications in Civil Engineering Construction Management Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Professional references.
