Job Summary
Description
The Lead Cashier at Mothers Market supports front-end operations by providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily supervision of cashier team members. This role helps ensure smooth register operations accurate transactions and a welcoming checkout experience. The Lead Cashier serves as a role model for Mothers Market values and supports leadership in maintaining efficient friendly and organized front-end operations.
Wage Range: $18-$20/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly efficient and accurate customer service at the register
- Support daily front-end operations and assist with opening and closing procedures
- Help train coach and support cashier team members
- Assist with register balancing cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Address customer questions and assist with issue resolution as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout and front-end areas
- Ensure compliance with company policies safety procedures and cash-handling standards
- Support leadership in managing lines breaks and workflow
- Promote Mothers Market values including wellness sustainability and community
- Work collaboratively with store leadership and team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or customer service experience required
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability including weekends evenings and holidays
