Job/Department Summary:
Incumbent under the general supervision of the Network Manager is responsible for planning design documentation installation ongoing analysis and control of the campus voice and data network infrastructure. Work includes researching best of breed technologies for expansion of the networks to meet academic and administrative program needs and the needs of campus users. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination and documentation of assigned projects within Network Operations.
The incumbent is expected to act as part of the team supporting wireless networks network clients and supporting this role the incumbent will be responsible as a tier-3 specialist in support of network clients including wired wireless and VPN systems. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the campus and manufacturers vendors and consultants regarding network technologies and services.
Required Education and Experience:
Equivalent to a bachelors degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $77904 (Step 1) - $113496 (Step 20) per year.
