Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a high-acuity acute care hospital on Floridas Treasure Coast. This 380-bed facility features a nationally recognized cardiovascular program and provides comprehensive services including open-heart surgery emergency care (adult and pediatric) oncology orthopedics labor & delivery nuclear medicine and inpatient/outpatient surgical services.
This role offers hands-on exposure to advanced cardiovascular and critical care cases in a collaborative fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments (breath sounds airway patency cuff pressures)
Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory therapy needs and patient response
Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy
Assist with artificial airway placement and airway management
Initiate monitor and maintain invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
Monitor patient response to therapy and intervene appropriately during unexpected events
Assist in transport of ventilator-dependent patients
Respond promptly to emergency situations to ensure airway integrity and effective ventilation
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
Active Florida Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner License (RRT/RCP)
BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
