Job Summary
Description
The Cashier at Mothers Market provides exceptional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions. Cashiers are ambassadors of Mothers Markets mission creating a welcoming friendly and health-conscious shopping experience for every guest.
Wage Range: $17-$20/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly attentive service
- Accurately process purchases returns and exchanges using the POS system
- Handle cash credit debit and other forms of payment responsibly
- Answer customer questions regarding products promotions and store policies
- Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked checkout area
- Support bagging and assisting customers as needed
- Follow all company policies safety guidelines and food-handling standards
- Promote Mothers Market values including wellness sustainability and community
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability including weekends evenings and holidays

Physical Requirements
- Standing walking bending and repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Lifting carrying and pushing up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to cold temperatures (refrigeration areas)
