About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by ensuring smooth and accurate transactions. You will be the face of our store providing a welcoming atmosphere while managing the cash register and assisting customers with their purchases.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Scan items for purchase and ensure pricing is correct.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cash register and checkout area.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cash handling or retail experience is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress effectively.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers.
