Job Summary

Are you passionate about supporting and transforming the lives of people who are experiencing homelessnessin Hammersmith & Fulham

We are looking for a Project Worker to join ourHammersmith & Fulham Supported Accommodation Pathway. These services support adults with a range of needs who are preparing for more independent living.

You will work across both Talgarth Road and Shepherds House as part of the wider H&F pathway which is a large multisite service with a staff team of 58 supporting 129 clients. The pathway includes a mix of 24hour staffed complex needs services semiindependent stepdown accommodation genderspecific provision and specialist support including domestic abuse services and employment training and education support.

In the role of Project Worker you will support clients on their journey toward increased independence. You will manage a caseload of residents helping them develop the skills and confidence required to move on to appropriate longerterm or independent accommodation. The role focuses on empowering residents to build on their strengths develop practical life skills and maintain independence in the community.

Working inthis role your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work with clients toidentifytheir personal aims and ambitions and work towards achieving them.
  • Provide practical and personal support to clients in an approachablecaringandperson-centredway.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team to provide safe high quality positive and inclusive service to clients.
  • Complete administrative records relating to client work housingmanagement and healthand safety.
  • Work on a weekly shift rota including early and late shiftsweekendsand bank holidays.

About you

Thisrolewill suit people with:

  • An understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people you may have had personal experience of homelessness yourself.
  • Experience of helping vulnerable people toidentifypersonal goals and supporting them through a process of change.
  • Good interpersonal and listening skills toestablisheffective working relationships with clients.
  • An enthusiasm to learn and work with clients with a holisticperson-centred approach.
