We are looking for a Modern Desktop Product Designer to join our Infrastructure Operations team to design and deliver modern desktop services(in particular Windows11InTuneandAutopilot)that enable colleagues across Kingfisher to work simplysecurelyand effectively. Working within End User Services this role shapes highquality evergreen services that support Kingfishers technology strategy and create consistent experiences across all banners.
We can base this role out of either our Paddington or Southampton officeswith an expectation of 12 days a month in the officeand travel between sites as.
Whats the job
- Design and deliver new modern desktop services in line with Infrastructure and End User Services objectives balancing requirementscostand risk.
- Act as a subject matter expert providing technical leadership and governance across projects businessasusualactivityand service improvement programmes.
- Create and peerreview infrastructure and service designsidentifyingopportunities for standardisationsimplificationand shared platforms.
- Collaborate with designers architects productownersand delivery partners to ensure consistency across programmes and locations.
- Advise stakeholders on solution feasibilityrisksand options supporting informed decisionmaking and initiative development.
- Manage delivery activity using structured planning and tracking including EPICs and stories to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Champion modern desktop services within the IT community sharing knowledge and promoting best practice across the organisation.
What youll bring
- Proven experience designing and delivering technical services within a complex enterprisescale environment.
- Strong background in senior technical support or service design roles with recognised subject matterexpertisein relevant product areas(InTune Autopilot Windows 11)
- Experience working with thirdparty providers and managed service partners to deliver technology solutions.
- A feedbackdriven approach to service design and continuous improvement.
- Clear inclusive communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
