Were seeking an energetic and passionate individual to join the team at our Marles Playing Fields (Bulleen) - the highest-rated sports fields of Melbournes independent schools as a Sportsfield Groundsperson.

About The Role

Reporting to the Head Curator and the Head of Finance and Bulleen Campus you will play a pivotal role working with the Grounds Team at Bulleen and as part of the wider Trinity Grammar School Property Gardens and Grounds Team. The hours for this role are 38 hours per week with 1 accrued day off every 4 weeks 6.2 weeks annual leave and all equipment and clothing supplied. Professional Learning opportunities are encouraged and supported by the School.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Energetic and passionate about working on sportsgrounds.
• Operating and maintaining a wide range of machinery.
• Preparation of a range of turf surfaces for sport including turf wickets.
• Identify and report basic pest and disease.
• Conducting renovations on both sports turf and passive turf.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Completed Cert III Turf Management or equivalent or working towards.
• Turf Wicket experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of the appropriate use and handling of chemicals herbicides and pesticides including current Agvet Farm Chemicals Users Course.
• Ability to use a front-end loader/bobcat.
• Strong safety environmental and quality focus.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
• A current Employee Working with Children Check.
