Job Summary

Job Title: Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist

Location: Haines City FL 33844
Duration: 3 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Pay Rate: $24/hour (W2)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to support both front- and back-office operations in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient intake clinical procedures and administrative duties while maintaining a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Greet and room patients
Schedule appointments and answer incoming calls
Take and document vital signs
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer vaccines as directed
Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Provide additional clinical and administrative support as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
EMR experience required
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication and computer skills
Interest in working in a health education and outreach-focused environment

BLS or CPR certification (candidates without certification may start pending approval)
