DescriptionJob Summary
The DTS Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for Dallas Seminary and establishes the first impression that guests vendors students and callers have for the Seminary. The primary responsibility of this person is to welcome each visitor and caller to the Seminary and help them get to the right person or get the information they need.
Duties/Responsibilities
Establish a welcoming tone and presence for the Dallas Campus.
Greet and assist guests and employees with a positive attitude.
Provide directions and information for walk-in visitors to campus.
Strive to answer all phone calls as quickly as possible to establish a human connection to the Seminary.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Student Life Division.
Assist with text alerts/email blasts to students faculty and staff for events.
Maintain a professional ethos for those coming to campus or calling.
QualificationsExceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
Be comfortable occasionally working alone.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
