JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Community Engagement serves as the primary external-facing representative of the ICL Hub responsible for building and strengthening community relationships coordinating cultural and community events and advancing ICLs visibility within the local community. The role leads community outreach partnership development and referral-building efforts to deepen community ties and support integrated services across ICL programs. The Director works closely with Hub operations program leadership and external partners to create a welcoming resource-rich environment for clients staff and neighborhood residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Community Outreach & Partnership Development
- Represent the Hub at community events meetings and forums.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals clinics community-based organizations schools faith groups and local institutions.
- Educate community partners about ICL programs and referral pathways.
- Strengthen cross-agency collaboration and participate in coalitions networks and advisory groups.
- Generate track community referrals.
- Regular travel to community partners and outreach events.
2. Cultural Community & Staff Event Management
- Plan and coordinate cultural observances holiday celebrations staff engagement activities and client-facing events.
- Develop an annual calendar of events and ensure proper planning communication and execution.
- Oversee donation drives care-package distribution and other resource initiatives.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours for special events or emergent community needs.
3. Integrated Agency Engagement
- Promote cross-divisional collaboration and service integration across ICL programs.
- Strengthening communication pipelines between Hub and program leaders.
- Partner with Development and Communications to support agency-wide initiatives and community-facing messaging.
- Ensure Hub services and resources remain visible accessible and well-integrated.
4. Community Resource Coordination
- Identify community needs and recommend resource-based solutions.
- Coordinate distribution of essential items (e.g. care packages clothing hygiene products) with appropriate follow-up and referrals.
- Maintain systems to track donations supplies and community requests.
5. Data Collection & Continuous Improvement
- Track outreach activity partner engagement referral outcomes and event participation.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for leadership.
- Use data to refine engagement strategies and identify emerging community needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in social work Public Health Nonprofit Management Communications or related field
- Masters preferred. 35 years of experience in community engagement outreach or human services program coordination
