Job Summary

The Pharmacy Quality Coordinator is responsible for conducting member outreach to address care gaps and improve medication adherence through education support and follow-up. This role plays a key part in advancing pharmacy quality initiatives by collaborating with members providers pharmacists and internal teams to ensure accurate medication management and timely resolution of issues.

What Youll Do


  • Conduct outbound outreach to members to address care gaps and improve medication adherence
  • Educate members on the importance of medication compliance and assist in overcoming barriers to adherence
  • Identify and document adherence barriers escalating complex cases when appropriate
  • Assist members with mail-order pharmacy enrollment and prescription coordination
  • Confirm current medication regimens and reconcile discrepancies
  • Collaborate with physician offices pharmacists and internal departments to clarify prescription orders and resolve medication-related issues
  • Support pharmacy quality initiatives tied to HEDIS STAR ratings and other performance measures
  • Provide administrative support including batch mailings faxing documentation and case tracking
  • Prioritize and manage outreach cases using Excel and internal systems
  • Create and maintain reports to track outreach efforts outcomes and quality metrics
  • Maintain accurate reference documentation and adhere to compliance guidelines
  • Participate in required trainings meetings and departmental activities
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare pharmacy health plan operations quality improvement or member outreach
  • Knowledge of medication adherence concepts and pharmacy terminology
  • Experience conducting outbound calls in a professional healthcare setting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting filtering basic formulas) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Youre a great fit if:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree
  • Active California Pharmacy Technician license
  • Prior work experience in a pharmacy setting (i.e. retail pharmacy) or managed care setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • This is a remote role. The home office is aligned with your department at 600 City Parkway West 10th Floor Orange CA 92868.
  • The national target pay for this role is $22.04 - $28.28 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future) experience and other job-related factors.
