Import Gateway Operator

London Heathrow ( TW14)

Hours 19:00-07:00 4 on 4 off

DSV are recruiting for an Import Gateway Operator on the night shift at our London Heathrow location. This role will report to the management and help carry out the daily tasks. The Gateway department is very dynamic and fast paced.

What will you be doing

Monitoring international freight shipments from booking to final delivery ensuring service levels and operational procedures are consistently met

Maintaining high standards of data quality including oversight of live updates and system accuracy

Preparing and issuing key shipment documentation

Ensuring compliance with UK and international customs and import/export regulations

Liaising and building strong working relationships with our global network and carrier partners

Providing proactive day-to-day problem resolution to support smooth gateway operations

Acting as a trusted escalation and escalation co-ordination point when required

Supporting the team in meeting daily deadlines operational KPIs and service targets

Assisting management with ongoing operational initiatives and new customer requirements

Supporting onboarding activities for new customers and stakeholders across the air import gateway

About You

Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality service

Able to remain calm and motivated when working under pressure confidently adjusting and re-prioritising workloads when needed

Dependable and organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and solutions-driven approach

High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy numeracy and data integrity

Confident IT user with the ability and willingness to learn new systems quickly; experience of CW1 is advantageous

Clear and professional communicator both verbally and in writing with a polite and customer-friendly telephone manner
