The program

Aus4Skills Phase 3 is a ten-year DFAT-funded program partnering with the Government of Vietnam to strengthen bilateral ties by supporting Vietnams human resource development priorities. Focused on higher education vocational education and training (VET) and the Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC) the program builds workforce-ready inclusive climate-adaptive skills public sector leadership and alumni networks. It targets gender equality disability and social inclusion and support for disadvantaged Australia Awards students. Outcomes include stronger AustraliaVietnam strategic partnerships enhanced public sector leadership and womens advancement and industry-aligned VET that meets labour market needs while promoting social equity and sustainable growth.


The role

The MEL/MIS Officer supports coordination of data collection analysis and reporting to deliver highquality monitoring evaluation and learning results for the Program. Working under the MEL Manager the role enforces data standards policies and procedures to ensure MIS accuracy consistency and reliability. The officer helps produce reliable valid datasets and reports aligned with the Aus4Skills MEL Strategy Framework and Annual Plans and supports planning and implementation of MEL activities. They provide technical support to the MEL team contribute to evidence generation for learning and decisionmaking and promote strong data governance across program components.


Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate data collection entry and MIS maintenance
  • Ensure data quality standards and consistency across datasets
  • Support the administration of specialist survey tools (ADIS / OCI) and periodic surveys and impact studies
  • Produce analyses learning briefs and reporting inputs
  • Assist development of Power BI dashboards and indicator tables
  • Support reflection events MEL processes and safeguard compliance


Selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in MIS IT monitoring and evaluation social sciences or related
  • 1 year relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation data or MIS (development projects desirable)
  • Experience with databases data entry and MS Access/Excel
  • Ability to design/translate indicators into database structures
  • Strong Vietnamese and English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detailoriented organised collaborative and adaptable
