Job Summary

With 100 years of history ALK is on an ambitious journey to become the preferred allergy company globally. Since 2018 we have been investing heavily in digital consumer-facing activities and in 2022 we began focusing on expanding prescribers (doctors) base digitally.

Our newly established Digital Customer Engagement & Digital Excellence department takes a holistic approach to consumer and doctor interactions ensuring the right patient meets the right doctor at the right time. Through digital engagement tools apps webinars and innovative partnerships such as AI chatbots on allergy clinic websites we aim to provide simple yet effective solutions for people living with allergies and the doctors who treat them.

The position:

As our SEO & AI Visibility Specialist youll lead the charge in driving organic growth not just in traditional Google search results but across AI Overviews answer engines and emerging LLM-powered discovery platforms. Your work will directly influence how where and why our brand shows up when it matters most.

This role is built for someone who understands that search has evolved. Youre confident managing SEO across Google and AI-driven experiences leading high-impact content initiatives building true topical authority and securing visibility and citations wherever users search for answers.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Search Optimization & GEO/AEO Strategy

Plan execute and optimize SEO content strategies with a focus on AI visibility (Google AI Overviews ChatGPT Perplexity Gemini etc.).

Develop and execute Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to earn brand citations in AI-generated answers.

Implement Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) best practices: answer-first content structure modular content design FAQ schema and conversational formatting.

Lead keyword research entity mapping and content clustering using AI-powered tools.

Oversee content briefs and coordinate writers editors and creators for SEO-optimized E-E-A-T-aligned output.

Develop scalable editorial plans targeting both traditional search results and AI assistant responses.

Track and report on AI citation metrics brand mentions in generative search and share-of-voice across AI platforms.

Entity SEO & Structured Data

Implement and maintain schema markup (JSON-LD) across key content types to improve AI and search engine comprehension.

Develop entity mapping strategies that connect brand products and people to Googles Knowledge Graph.

Ensure structured data consistency across all content to support rich results knowledge panels and AI citations.

Embed E-E-A-T signals into content workflows: author expertise authoritative sourcing transparent citations and experience-driven content.

Content Strategy & Multi-Platform Discovery

Build and manage content calendars aligned with keyword targets topical authority goals and business objectives.

Develop cross-platform discovery strategies beyond Google including YouTube Reddit LinkedIn community platforms and AI assistants.

Provide SEO guidance for video content (YouTube Shorts social) and optimize video metadata descriptions and schema for search visibility.

Optimize brand presence where AI systems pull training data and citations from (Wikipedia authoritative directories industry publications).

Link Building & Authority Growth

Manage ethical high-impact link-building and digital PR campaigns.

Identify outreach opportunities content partnerships and link-worthy assets.

Monitor backlink profile domain authority growth and off-site brand mentions.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze organic performance and come up with data driven insights on how the data should be optimized.

Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that connects SEO outcomes to business revenue.

Use tools like Google Search Console GA4 Looker Studio Ahrefs and AI visibility platforms for performance tracking.

Communicate strategy and performance clearly to stakeholders.

Project Management & Automation

Own and manage content workflows and timelines using modern project management tools.

Collaborate closely with our SEO senior specialist content design and development teams to ensure alignment.

Use AI tools to automate content planning optimization and reporting.

What Were Looking For:

Must-Have

4 years of experience in SEO content strategy including GEO/AEO optimization preferably in an agency or fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated understanding of entity-based SEO structured data (schema markup) and how AI systems parse and cite content.

Multi-market or multilingual SEO experience.

Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional content projects.

Proficiency with SEO platforms (Ahrefs SEMrush Screaming Frog) and analytics tools (GA4 GSC Looker Studio).

Proven success scaling content that drives organic traffic and builds AI citation visibility.

Experience working in YMYL categories and understanding of E-E-A-T principles and how to embed authority signals into content workflows.

Understanding of link building strategies and digital PR best practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1).

Self-starter mindset with a passion for experimentation learning and driving results.

Nice to Have

Experience with technical SEO fundamentals (crawlability site architecture Core Web Vitals).

Familiarity with CRO principles and how user experience impacts organic performance.

Experience creating SOPs playbooks or training materials for SEO or content teams.

Experience optimizing brand presence across non-Google platforms (Reddit YouTube LinkedIn community forums).
