Description

The Banquet Sales Coordinator is responsible for generating securing and coordinating banquet and event business.



Responsibilities
  • Respond to banquet and event inquiries in a timely manner
  • Conduct tours of event spaces and provide detailed event information
  • Prepare proposals contracts and event orders (BEOs) according to company standards
  • Book and confirm banquet event assuring all client needs are clearly communicated
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings deposits client communications and final payments
  • Coordinate with Banquet Manager and Banquet Chef to ensure all event details are executed
  • Upsell servicessuch as menu upgrades bar packages décor and add on experiences
  • Support marketing initiatives to grow banquet business including outreach and follow-up
  • Attend BEO meetings or operations meetings
  • Maintain excellent customer service and follow up after each event to build repeat business


Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
  • Flexible to work various shifts weekends and holidays
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales hospitality or as an event coordinator
  • Access to the vessel required
  • Must qualify for obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission if applicable

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend stoop twist reach and kneel repetitively
  • Safely work with provided equipment
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
