Our Heritage Policy and Strategy team is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Policy Officer to support policy development and contribute to projects that advance government objectives and respond to the needs of communities and stakeholders across NSW.
In this role you will assist with research analysis and writing to support the development review and evaluation of strategic and operational policy. You will contribute to project work help prepare reports and briefing materials and support stakeholder engagement through working groups committees and consultations. Youll be part of a collaborative team building your understanding of policy processes Cabinet and Parliamentary requirements and the broader operating environment in which the department works.
About You
You are a motivated and detailoriented policy or research professional with strong analytical and written communication skills. You enjoy exploring complex issues gathering evidence and contributing to wellreasoned policy advice. Youre curious proactive and engaged with an interest in understanding policy development processes interagency collaboration and how government decisions are made.
Collaborative and adaptable you work well in a team and can manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment. You communicate clearly build positive working relationships and listen actively. You bring a willingness to learn apply feedback and develop practical evidencebased solutions that support effective policy outcomes.
