About The Role
In this Sales Manager role you will drive sales growth and strategy across a broad territory encompassing the Hawkes Bay Manawatu Gisborne and Wellington regions. You will play a key role in the development of customer-centric strategies that support our overall business objectives and embody our purpose of always moving forward.
In this role you would have the opportunity to:
- Use your astute sales acumen to drive new business development across multiple regions contributing to increased market share.
- Lead and mentor one direct report in the Wellington/Manawatu region offering guidance and support in their professional development.
- Maintain and grow four regional distributors within your portfolio and encourage promotion of the TotalEnergies product range with a wide variety of retailers.
- Travel throughout your assigned regions using a company vehicle and maintain a regular call/visit cycle with key account holders in a wide variety of industries including construction industrial transportation and forestry.
- Provide input into setting of sales plans and budgets to drive year-on-year growth in annual sales while meeting quality objectives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key customers suppliers and distributors supporting mutually beneficial relationships over the long term.
- Deliver exceptional customer service that aligns with our vision of being New Zealands most valued lubricants company.
- Champion TotalEnergies NZs strategic vision ensuring that your team and colleagues are aligned with TENZs strategic goals.
What You Bring to the Table
Our ideal candidate will
be skilled at building solid longstanding relationships and will easily relate to a wide variety of people - from workshop managers to CEOs. Your communication skills time management and call planning will be top notch and you will have a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers.
In addition to the above we are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience in a senior sales role ideally with leadership responsibility in a similar or related industry.
- A proactive go-getter attitude and a passion for exploring new business opportunities to help grow the business.
- Familiarity with CRM tools with an eagerness to use these to optimise the quality and efficiency of your work.
- Resilience a can do attitude and the ability to influence customer interactions into positive opportunities.
- A customer advocacy mindset with a strong focus on customer retention and growth.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with a team and to work with a high degree of autonomy.
