The Lab Accessioning Associate deals with accessioning problems and troubleshoots problem specimens. Supervises office activities in the absence of the Supervisor to achieve optimum utilization of equipment and employees. Assists the supervisor with daily operations of the department.
1. Supervises staff on the nights weekends and holidays in the absence of the Supervisor.*
2. Troubleshoots all problem specimens (e.g. no DOB no requesting physician etc.)*
3. Cancels test and enters comments. Alerts physicians and clients of problems.
4. Corrects accessioning errors clarifies tests and adds on tests as requested.*
5. Covers for client services on nights weekends and holidays.
6. Oversees the specimen tracking and distribution of specimens from the pneumatic tubing system. Distributes specimen to registrars.*
7. Collects and stores extra specimens monitors and discards problem specimens. Prints and distributes special lab reports.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The salary range for the role is $26.48 - $27.02 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need.
