Veterinarian Aurora Animal Hospital Fairbanks
Looking for a change of pace and a chance to practice meaningful medicine in one of the most beautiful places in the country Aurora Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian whos excited about living in Alaska and confident handling emergency cases independently at night.
This is a 3-day per week ER-focused role (Monday Tuesday Thursday 2pmmidnight). Your afternoons and early evenings include general appointments then you transition to emergency-only care till midnight. Youll see a wide variety of cases but the ER volume is manageablenot overwhelmingallowing you to practice thoughtful high-quality medicine.
Youll join a collaborative 7-doctor team with a supportive owner who enjoys mentoring and helping with complex cases. With no local ER nearby most procedures are done in-house so youll have the tools autonomy and trust to do whats best for your patients. The hospital plays an essential role in the community and the appreciation from clients is genuine.
