Job Summary
Nurse Supervisor
Location: Brooklyn New York 11206
Schedule: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (W2)
Pay Rate: $80 per hour
Position Overview
A healthcare organization in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership oversight and performance management across clinical units. This role focuses on improving patient care quality strengthening staff performance and ensuring regulatory and professional standards are met.
The Nurse Supervisor will work closely with nurse managers and leadership to monitor clinical operations address performance concerns and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Plan develop and implement programs to enhance patient care quality and staff performance
Monitor patient care delivery across units in collaboration with nurse managers
Identify performance gaps and assist with corrective action initiatives
Develop and maintain record-keeping systems related to medication errors and counseling
Ensure compliance with nursing standards policies and regulatory requirements
Support clinical leadership and promote best practices
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience
At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health experience
Prior Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) experience required
Education
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
Preferred:
Masters Degree in Nursing
Required Certifications & Licensure
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYSED
Current BLS certification
