    Salary: Salary placement on our Certified Salary schedule is dependent on the employees education and/or work experience. Certified/licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of contractual and/or work experience up to a maximum of ten (10) years which includes in-district and out-of-district contractual teaching and/or work experience.     Required:
    Bachelors Degree
    Colorado Teaching License with GT endorsement or PRAXIS passed
    Preferred:
    Experience in a related field
    Masters Degree
    Bilingual


    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Summary/Objective:The GT Specialist will be responsible for identifying students for gifted services developing individual student Advanced Learning Plans participating and conducting professional development in gifted education objectives collaborating in finding relevant resources for gifted students gathering interpreting and communicating gifted student data from multiple sources and communicating gifted education objectives activities and successes to all stakeholders.

    Essential Functions:

    • Gather interpret and communicate gifted student data from multiple sources
    • Oversee the implementation of the program design including identification and advanced learning plan processes
    • Provide ongoing communication about gifted education objectives activities and successes to all stakeholders
    • Collaborate in finding appropriate resources to meet the needs of gifted students on caseload
    • Participate and lead professional development on characteristics and learning needs of gifted learners.
    • Support the District Strategic Plan for gifted services.


    Additional Qualifications:Applicant must have the knowledge of intellectual and social/emotional needs of gifted learners experience with differentiated instructional strategies possess strong communication skills and be willing to participate and lead GT professional development. It is highly recommended that the applicant possess strong communication skills flexibility and be a self-directed learner.
