Senior Information Security Engineer
Fully Remote Global Scope Financial Services Technology (CAPE TOWN based ESSENTIAL)

We are partnering with a global compliance technology business supporting over a million users across 100 countries. They are expanding their security capability and require a Senior Information Security Engineer to take ownership of critical security engineering functions across cloud network and endpoint environments.

This is not a monitoring role.
This is not policy-only governance.
This is hands-on engineering with real responsibility.

This role is suited to someone operating at Senior / Lead level who wants autonomy scale and strategic exposure without moving into pure management.

What Youll Be Doing

Leading vulnerability management across customer-facing environments
Driving remediation with engineering teams
Supporting and tuning SIEM/SOAR deployments
Strengthening endpoint security across global environments
Maintaining ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 control alignment
Supporting audits and governance reporting
Acting as backup to the Information Security Manager
You will also work across:
Cloud security (AWS Oracle M365)
Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama GlobalProtect)
Threat log analysis and rule tuning
Incident response and forensic support
Security automation (PowerShell Python Bash)

What Were Looking For

5 years in Information Security Engineering
Strong SIEM/SOAR management experience
Proven vulnerability management lifecycle ownership
Firewall management experience (Palo Alto preferred)
Cloud workload security expertise
Experience with ISO 27001 and SOC 2
Ability to communicate security posture to non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable operating with minimal supervision

Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly advantageous.
