As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) you will work directly with our customers embedding inside their AI teams to help them build and deploy successful AI agents with the W&B Weave developer toolkit.
This is a hands-on customer-facing engineering roleideal for someone who thrives in high-impact environments enjoys solving open-ended technical problems and wants to shape how the worlds leading organizations build with AI.
Bachelors degree (or international equivalent) in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
3 years of professional experience in software engineering ML engineering or applied AI roles.
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern ML/AI frameworks (e.g. PyTorch TensorFlow Hugging Face).
Hands-on experience building deploying or operating LLM-powered applications or AI agents in production environments.
Experience with agent orchestration frameworks or tooling (e.g. LangChain LlamaIndex custom orchestration systems).
Demonstrated experience working directly with customers in technical consulting solutions engineering or forward-deployed roles.
Ability to design and implement end-to-end systems from prototype through production deployment.
Experience building or supporting production ML/AI systems at scale.
Familiarity with vector databases retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or reinforcement learning workflows.
Prior experience in forward deployed engineering field engineering or solutions architecture roles.
Experience collaborating closely with product teams to influence roadmap decisions based on customer needs.

The base salary range for this role is $188000- $275000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge skills experience and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining addition to base salary our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus equity awards and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
