Role Summary and Impact

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Comms Planning Manager for Amazon CDS. This is a Full-time position based in London.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPPs mission to deliver consistency delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its CDS (Consumer Devices and Services) lines of business a varied and dynamic portfolio including Amazon Leo Alexa Kindle Kids Tablet and Fire TV.

OpenDoor is Amazons media partner everywhere in the world except North America and Latin America and makes up a considerable proportion of Amazons global marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

Media planning:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of media channels including wherewhenand how to use them based on the client brief.
  • Have a skilled knowledge of industry media planning tools and be able to train other team members.
  • Have a skilled understanding of industry best practices and planning theory.
  • Develop a fundamental knowledge ofOpenDoorPurchase Journey thinking and Provocative Planning Philosophy.
  • Design and distribute multi market comms strategies.

Campaign management & effective communication:

  • Ownership of campaign activity including briefing teams collating response managing clients deliverables and ensuring accuracy across all workstreams.
  • Assist in the development and execution of data-driven marketing campaigns: Work closely with the Strategy team and support scenario planning considerations and data analysis to support channel recommendations as appropriate. This work is designed to ensure seamless workflow and communication from initial strategy design to media channel plans shared with clients.
  • Work closely with the planning and activation teams to ensure the day-to-day account is run efficiently and effectively.
  • Utilize WPP Open and other cutting-edge tools to track campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities
  • Be able to bring in specialist teams where needed to work on briefs and client questions.
  • Ensure financial management processes are always excellent and met in a timely manner.
  • Become a trusted main day-to-day contact for junior clients learning their business and ways of working. Ensuring that all requests & queries are answered with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Support in managing Planning Executives to ensure they are on track with daily tasks mentor and challenge them with new projects to develop their career.
  • Start to develop a proactive problem-solving mindset but know when to flag any issues or concerns with Planning Director.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices particularly in the areas of e-commerce and digital marketing and proactively share innovation opportunities both internally with the team and with clients
