Job Summary
Pattern Shop Technician Union City Foundry Send Resumes to:
Starting pay: $16.50 per hour
Pay increases at 90 days 1 year and reviewed annually
Profit-sharing bonuses twice per year after one year of service
Mechanical aptitude and woodworking experience preferred
Job Summary:
The Pattern Shop is responsible for building repairing modifying and maintaining foundry patterns
core boxes match plates and tooling used to produce high-quality castings. This role ensures all
patterns meet dimensional accuracy durability and production requirements to support efficient and defect-free foundry operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Modify and repair wood plastic and aluminum foundry patterns match platesand
core boxes.
Install runner system.
Ensure proper draft machining stock and parting lines are built into all patterns.
Inspect tooling for wear damage and dimensional drift.
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
Read and understand drawings.
Proficiency using hand tools power tools and shop equipment.
Follow all safety protocols when working with molding equipment and tools.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Woodworking experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods working on feet using tools and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
Ability to lift 10-60 pounds.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
