We are looking for a highly skilledCost Accountant to join our team. As a Cost Accountant you will play a key role in analyzing financial information and providing accurate and insightful reports to assist in the decision making process. This position requires a meticulous attention to detail strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of cost accounting principles.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting
- Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Proficient in cost accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonalskills
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and provide detailed reports on product costs variances and profitability
- Monitor and evaluate inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies
- Develop and maintain standard costing system for all products and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve cost control measures
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial statements budgets and forecasts
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Identify areas of potential cost savings and recommend strategies for improvement
