Cole Harbour Family Medicine is seeking a family physician to provide locum coverage for the following dates:
- July 13 2026- July 19 2026
- July 27 2026- Aug 9 2026
- July 27 2026- July 29 2026
- August 10 2026- August 23 2026
- August 12 2026- August 30 2026 (part-time)
- August 24 2026- August 30 2026
- September 14 2026- September 20 2026
- September 26 2026-October 3 2026
Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices including inpatient and nursing home care as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day) with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses including kilometrage per diems accommodations (up to $300 per night) and airfare (up to $1500) are reimbursed along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
Qualifications :
- All applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
